Dad was admitted urgently to Downe hospital ward 2, where he remained for 2 weeks. He was wonderfully cared for by all the staff: cleaners, support staff, catering team, nurses, doctors, consultants, palliative team, physio.
Not only that, but we as family were so well cared for: being able to visit at any time, being able to help with Dad's care, to be there for ward rounds to hear, help, and interpret for the patient with brain tumour processing difficulties, and to stay over for peace of mind with him.
Thank you so, so much.
Like another local place I am acquainted with, Daisy Lodge, Ward 2 is the best place that you never want to be; the staff are the best people that you hope you never need.
You have all been a blessing to us and our family through this difficult time. Thank you.
