"Nothing was too much trouble from anyone"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Clinical assessment unit Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Vascular Outpatients Centre / Rehabilitation Services

(as the patient),

I had been to my doctor regarding an update on my blood results aswell as a swollen foot. As we all do I knew something was wrong. I was sleeping all the time, no energy and could barely eat.

Short story another fantastic Dr came out to my house, took bloods and by the next day in hospital. Took 3 months in hospital, diagnosed with a rare condition but through the sheer dedication of the nursing staff, amazing work of the physio team at Bellfield Specialist Rehab centre, Stirling who got me walking, showering, eating and dressing myself, I wouldn't be home doing this.

I know this is a condition I have to live with, but thank you Forth Valley Hospital and the Bellfield Rehabilitation Centre Stirling. I cried leaving the Bellfield Rehabilitation Centre as they made it as homely as possible for me aswell as the other patients.

Physio team were sensational, knew my abilities and somehow knew what I was capable of doing. From the nurses, physios and the auxiliary team, they were there to listen when needed them. Plus my family and friends were always welcome and my husband was always informed of my progress. Now I have carers, physio coming to my home continuing the work that I have received.

Forth Valley Hospital are very busy but the staff are amazing. Bellfield Rehabilitation Centre are phenomenal, nurses are out of this world and the physio team have got me to where I'm at.

Nothing was too much trouble from anyone. So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you xx

Dear Thankful 01

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on care opinion. It was lovely to read your story across our clinical assessment unit then our other wards until you were able to return home.

I hope you continue to recover well, I will certainly share with the rest of our teams.

best wishes

pam
