About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Endometriosis Service

(as a service user),

I owe my life to the BGSE centre, Dr Datsun and Nurse Rosie.  They took me on and did a second opinion laparoscopy after I was ignored and dismissed by a general gynae at another hospital. They found Endometriosis and provided me with vital Endo Nurse support throughout coming to terms with my diagnosis after a 12 year battle.

The care during my stay was exceptional. The ward was tidy, fresh air was always flowing and my dignity was consistently considered. It didn't feel like the hot prison that hospital had done at other cities in my experience.

I feel we need more centres and more Endo nurses in Scotland to help women through diagnosis and management of the condition.

Dear Rebecca728

I am so sorry you have had such a long journey, however thank you so much for spending time offering feedback on our fantastic specialist nurse Rosie- she is an asset to our team - and Dr Datsun.

The ward will also be happy to hear you liked the environment and also felt cared for.

I will share this with the team.

I hope your journey is easier now you have a diagnosis.

Kind regards,

Nikki
