"Treated mum with the utmost respect and care"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Elderly Medicine (Wards 51, 52, 54,55, 57, 8a & 2a)

(as a relative),

Mum was admitted to Langlands building ward 55 following a fall. As a family we were anxious as mum has dementia so we didn’t know how this would affect mum.

Senior charge nurse Leeann and charge nurse Claire have been an amazing support for my mum whilst she was in their care. Other carers on this ward for mum also treated mum with the utmost respect and care. As a family this has been invaluable and comforting knowing we were leaving mum each night in their care. Thank you.

Dear charakd45

Thank you for sharing your heartfelt feedback with us on Care Opinion.

We are deeply moved to hear about your positive experience at the Langlands Building Ward 55 during your mum's stay following her fall.

We understand how challenging it can be when a loved one with dementia is admitted to the hospital, and we are pleased to know that Senior Charge Nurse Leeann, Charge Nurse Claire, and the entire team provided such excellent support and care for your mum.

Knowing that your family felt comforted and reassured by the care your mum received means a great deal to us. Your appreciation will be shared with Leeann, Claire, and the rest of the team who I'm sure will be touched to hear your kind words.

Kind regards

Kevin
