"Extremely Poor Practice, and unpolite…"

About: Brooklyn Medical Practice

It's been extremely frustrating trying to secure an appointment. My mother received a sensitive and serious diagnosis from a nurse, who seemed unaware that a GP had not yet discussed this with her, she thought they had the wrong person. We've been attempting to book an appointment with a GP to understand the implications of this diagnosis, but it's been impossible. Over the past two working days, I have called multiple times and tried to explain the urgency to the receptionist. However, I was rudely interrupted before I could fully explain our situation, only to be told abruptly that no appointments were available. It's my understanding that best practice involves enquiring about the reason for the call to properly assist patients, not dismissing them as quickly as possible. This experience has been very disheartening and concerning.

Dear Katy

Thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry to hear about the experience you and your mother have had both with obtaining a diagnosis and an appointment.

We would appreciate the opportunity to investigate this matter fully for yourself and your mother. To enable us to do this please fill out the following form: https://www.rpcchesterfield.nhs.uk/patient-feedback-form/ Alternatively a paper copy of this is also available at our reception desks.

Kind Regards

Royal Primary Care
