My elderly mam had a fall and an ambulance was called (we live in York). The two ladies who arrived were lovely, after an assessment they advised they were taking mam to Scarborough as York was full. We were slightly worried by this as it’s over an hour from home. Dad went in the ambulance and we waited for news in York.
Within 15 mins of arriving at Scarborough hospital she was being looked after and various tests were underway. Anyway long story short at about 6.15pm she was given the ok to go home, less than four hours from arrival. We travelled from York to collect them and they were back in their own home by 9pm.
I just wanted to say thank you for looking at mam so quickly and looking after her (and dad) so well, you are all marvellous.
