I visited Tameside hospital for the first time accompanying a friend to the Macmillan cancer unit. From our first meeting with a paramedic to the Macmillan cancer volunteer- it was a fantastic model of customer service. It didn’t even feel like that. The nurse who helped me push my friend up the slope in a wheelchair. The volunteer who operated the chair so that my friend could lie down and who then made me a cuppa and a biscuit and gave my friend some water. The builder who pushed my friend outside up a really big slope! Countless picking up that we were unsure where things were. It was really remarkable. So that’s my story .
"A fantastic model of customer service"
