"I was assessed very promptly"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Occupational Therapy

(as a service user),

I was referred to the Primary Care Occupational Therapy service without really understanding what they may be able to offer me, other than an it being alternative option to medication being offered by my GP.

I was assessed very promptly, initially by telephone and in person thereafter.

Laura took the time to explain her role and to listen to my concerns. She was kind, professional and caring and I can’t emphasise enough the positive impact of feeling properly listened to.

She provided a wealth of information and resources and helped me navigate this to find what worked best for me.

I now feel much better equipped to manage my situation and am very greatful for the input I’ve received.
