"Patient communication great any much appreciated"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiac Catherterisation

(as a service user),

In to have a peacemaker fitted today 24/4/24 and cared for in a way that couldn't be bettered. Not a criticism in any way but just wanted to report that it took 3 hours and lots of attempts to take blood.

Surgeon in the end (Dr. Weir) had to be called in to take successfully.

Was in in Aug 23' with serious lung infection, admitted via resus (999) and as today, team work amazing. Patient communication great any much appreciated.

I believe it can't be the nurses or the doctors causing problems in the NHS!

Dear scutumnc67

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on the care you received during the insertion of your pacemaker /peacemaker. I hope that it is setting the pace and keeping the peace!

Sorry to hear that it took so long and many attempts to take your blood. I am glad to read Dr Weir was successful.

I will share your positive comments with the teams as they will appreciate your kind words.

Medical and nursing staff do strive to ensure effective communication and feedback is very important to us all, thank you.

I hope that you are recovering well

Best Wishes

Lise
