"The carers have let me take "baby steps""

About: Care at Home / Care at Home Ayr South

(as a service user),

I need help with a bath, as can't do this on my own - I do have some family support but I do not like them to help with my bath activities - by having the carers help me with this is really helping me - I do find this hard as would prefer to do it myself but I can't do this on my own now since my health got worse - the regular carers have let me take "baby steps" to find the/my confidence to allow me to accept their help. They also help with other jobs I can't do but this one I found the hardest to accept - thank you for your patience with me.

Dear waltzgz73,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us, we really appreciate you taking your time to do this.

I am sorry to hear your health is declining, this must be a difficult time for you, although I am delighted to hear by taking "baby steps" this is building your confidence with the support being provided by the carers.

I will ensure your feedback is given to the Ayr South team and I will also add to the carers newsletter, I am very grateful as I am sure, the team will be too, to hear such positive feedback.

Take care, Kind Regards,

Claire
