"Long waits and being forgot about"

About: Omagh Primary Care Complex / Day Procedure Unit

(as a service user),

I attended a routine appointment in Day procedure unit in Omagh. Staff escorted me into what I can only describe as a locker room and told me to get changed for my procedure and someone would be back to get me.

Hours went by that nobody came looking for me until someone heard me and called out saying hello hello. I replied and made my presence known. The nurse asked what was I doing in there, to which I replied this is where I was told to wait and they replied to say they thought I had left and another nurse said  sorry they forgot about me.

My lift was waiting for me and this resulted in me only getting discharged 4 hours from rather than 1 hour like my family had been advised

I fully understand hospital pressures but I don't believe patients should be in cupboards / store rooms or locker rooms they should be visible at all time so they are not forgot like I was.
