About: Belfast City Hospital / Endoscopy Unit

(as the patient),

Day procedure for sigmoidoscopy.

Check in was simple in dedicated area.

When called by nurse, everything when very smoothly .

All details checked, seen by register who explained procedure and answered my questions.

In surgery consultant explained procedure and reassured what to expect.

The nurse Valerie who provided me with air/gas was brilliant and reassured me .

After procedure ,Brenda looked after me excellently and provided me with all information to be discharged.

I’d like to thank all staff for their professionalism.

NHS was a great experience.

Thank you ☺️

It is great to hear you felt so well looked after and staff took the time to answer your questions. Attending hospital for procedure can sometimes be a frightening experience and I am really pleased to hear staff were able to put you at ease and provide reassurance.
