"Care and professionalism"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Acute Receiving Unit (Units 1-5)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to QEH Glasgow and while in the Surgical Receiving unit, I was looked after by two outstanding nurses.

The unit was extremely busy , with fifteen patients having to sleep on trollies overnight as there were no beds in the wards.

These nurses managed the situation with care and professionalism at all times. Especially when I took a reaction to the IV antibiotics

One of the nurses I know saved my life. The other nurse I had was equally great.

Dear Joanvx24

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback your experience to us.

Having a reaction to the antibiotics must have been very frightening for you but I am happy to hear how well cared for you felt, despite such a busy department.

I will ensure that I pass your lovely comments on to the team.

Best wishes

Debbie Macintyre
