I attended minor injuries after sustaining an injury to my chest. I was seen really promptly by a registrar whose name I forget, had an X-ray after a really short wait and was reviewed by Dr Dobbin. The team quickly ascertained that my injury was maybe not so minor and moved me to the main ED via a CT scan. I was admitted from there to a surgical ward.
The whole journey was characterised by people being kind and professional. From the reception desk to the triage nurse, doctors, radiographers and patient experience staff, everyone made me feel less anxious and made sure that I knew what needed to be done.
