"They didn't feel like their feelings and opinions mattered at all"

About: Southern Health & Social Care Trust / Social Work Service

(as a parent/guardian),

We recently received a visit from two social workers from a local team (Brown low). One of the social workers seemed rather respectful, however the other social worker made my children upset, they cried (I was asked to leave the room at this point but I returned as soon as I heard my daughter crying). I asked the children how they felt after the visit and they described the social workers as passive-aggressive and intimidating. They were quite upset for the rest of the day. They said they didn't feel like their feelings and opinions mattered at all. They also felt one of  the social workers was patronizing towards me.
