"All staff were very pleasant and reassuring"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I recently had the unfortunate need to attend A&E at Crosshouse Hospital after falling and injuring my shoulder. After hearing all the negative comments  about long waiting times I expected to be there for the duration. How wrong was I ??

From arriving just before 18:00hrs  and registering at reception through various stages to x-ray, treated  etc. I was leaving in less than 3hrs. At each stage all staff were very pleasant and reassuring. All I can say is Thank-you to all concerned.

Dear errandch53

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care provided in the Emergency Department within University Hospital Crosshouse.

I am sorry to hear that you needed to attend our Emergency Department after falling and injuring your shoulder, but I am delighted to hear that you received such prompt, professional and compassionate care from all of our staff whilst you were under our care. This is a lovely example of the patient centred care that we strive to provide.

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback from their patients and it will be my pleasure to share your kind comments with the wider Team in the ED.

Please accept my best wishes for your ongoing recovery and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
