Enter to hospital receptionist, she took my name and details, lady told us to wait in this other room.
Few minutes later a nurse came and took myself and my son to go through paperwork and do blood pressure etc very thoroughly, explaining everything and asking if I had questions.
The next step was taking me through to the ward so my son pushed me in wheelchair to certain part and nurse took over. Other nurse at station they all spoke to me. I was given a bed and everything checked over.
The nurse helped me into a gown and put a cannula in my arm and then within 5 minutes I was taken down have my procedure. Once through the door the surgeon spoken to me and another doctor and nurses. They explained what was happening at the start and all the way through. Very reassurance all throughout the difficult bit that was happening.
I felt so at ease and can’t praise them all enough.
One finished back to ward again my blood pressure etc was checked and I was given a hot drink and offered a biscuit. The nurse helped me dress once I felt I was ready to go home.
The nurse checked who to call. Perfect ending.
