"Needs after a fractured femur"

About: Braid Valley Hospital and Ballymena Health and Care Centre / Occupational Therapy

(as the patient),

At the beginning of 2023 I fell outside and fractured my femur resulting in a metal pin being inserted and 3 weeks of physical therapy.

When I was ready to return home I found that I was no longer capable of certain simple tasks and required equipment to allow me to live my life as near normal as possible.

I felt frustrated as I could no longer perform daily tasks.
