"Poor at making appointments "

About: Guide Bridge Medical Practice

I have to have my bloods taken every 12 months due to the medication I am on. My bloods are due in October 2023. After ringing numerous times to be told there is no appointments I was asked to ring in January. When I rung them still no appointments I finally got one in April 2024!!

Now I have the results and a text to say the doctor needs to see you to discuss the results, and I was asked to telephone the surgery to get an appointment. 3 times I have rung to be told no appointments just keep trying, today they told me from 9th may there is a new system and I have to fill in a form. I asked what do I put in the form as I’m not unwell I’m only making the appointment as you have asked me to discuss my results receptionist said I don’t know what you need to put but keep trying. Each time you ring your on hold for an hour trying to get through it’s a joke, let’s hope my results aren’t serious!! That’s if I’m still alive when they let me have an appointment

We have been transitioning to a new appointment system which is now live and unfortunately has caused slight delay during the process. We are hopeful that this new system will support patients to access appointments more effectively and efficiently.
