"Getting taught how to cope with worrying"

About: Borders Community Services / Wellbeing Service

(as the patient),

I had been struggling for a few years with menopause and thought I was coping well with it. When my mum died my menopause symptoms got worse and so did the anxiety.

My work wasn't very sympathetic to me and I just couldn't cope anymore. I referred myself to the wellbeing team with the doctors recommendation.

When I met Genevieve I was at all time low and feeling that no one was listening to me. Genevieve worked with me to restore the old me, I wanted to be that person again.

She sent useful links and information and I got to work on them and it helped me find my old self again. I know I still need to work on not worrying about things I can't control.

What Genevieve taught me I will keep doing and carry on all her good work that she taught me.

Dear Ann24

Thank you so much for the feedback you left on Care Opinion after receiving support from Genevieve. I am so glad you followed the doctor's recommendation to self refer to the Wellbeing Service and found benefit in doing so.

Feedback is very important to us and I will make sure that I pass your kind words on to Genevieve.

I wish you well for your future and hope you continue to make use of the resources that you received.

Jenny
