"Personal care and efficiency"

I arrived, feeling very apprehensive,  accompanied by my wife, at the biopsy unit Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Pre-booked parking was available, but we were unaware of this, however the car park was quiet and attendant kindly let us park almost at the door.

Reception was smooth and efficient, but it was when we spent time with our nurse - John - that we felt especially at ease. John was exceptional in calming my nerves and explaining everything, and answering our questions.

I was introduced to Dr McGowan's team - Dr Allen, Staff nurse Emma, and Sn Lea - and was made comfortable. 

I was given an intro-venous injection. I awoke not remembering anything after the injection. No sore throat, no bleeding.

The whole team are to be congratulated on their quiet, efficient and friendly style, thank you for taking such care and allaying my fears.
