"Maintenance staff - credit deserved"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow

(as a parent/guardian),

The staff member that was managing the men’s toilets while we were there deserves a medal. The lights in the cubicles were not working and he was getting hammered with questions and complaints which he handled with good grace and a whole lot of patience. He was conscientious, hard working and a credit to the NHS.

In the upstairs canteen (the big one) the staff member sweeping the floor took time to ask my wife if she was okay and asked if he could get her anything. She was a bit down and was sitting herself and he spoke with her fur 5 minutes and cheered her up. He also deserves great credit.

I am sorry that I never took a note of both of their names.

Dear FS_Ayrshire

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're delighted to hear about the exceptional service provided by our staff members during your visit.

The team member managing the men's toilets demonstrated outstanding patience and professionalism despite the challenges he faced, and it’s wonderful to know his hard work did not go unnoticed. Similarly, the staff member in the upstairs canteen who took the time to check on your wife and cheer her up truly exemplifies the compassion and dedication we strive for at the NHS.

Your feedback will be shared with our Facilities Team for awareness.

Thank you once again for your thoughtful message.

Kind regards

Kevin
