"Delighted by the speed and efficiency of care"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Our autistic teenager sustained a wound to his forehead after a fall at home.

He was very anxious about potential treatments, however the nursing staff in Hairmyres ED (Liam in triage & Louise in Minors) were very kind, patient and reassuring.

Despite current pressures on the NHS we were delighted by the speed and efficiency of care and the compassion shown towards our son.

Dear Boyswillbeboys,

Thank you for sharing you and your son's experience at University Hospital Hairmyres, Emergency Department.

I am sorry to hear that your son sustained an injury to his forehead but I am so pleased to hear that Louise and Liam were kind and patient and that this reassured him - and I am sure you as well!

I look forward to sharing your kind words with the whole team but especially Louise and Liam who I am sure will take great pride in how their actions and attitude had a positive impact on your sons experience,

I hope he is recovering well.

Kind Regards,

Jenni
