"Made me feel as though I was getting the best care"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Radiology (X-ray) North Devon District Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had an appointment for a follow-up consultation with Elisabeth. The receptionist on the department was welcoming and friendly and everything was relaxed and there seemed to be a friendly atmosphere in the department.

Elisabeth was very efficient and thorough with my assessment and made me feel as though I was getting the best care with her thoughtful demeanour.

At the x-ray department again I found the staff to  be very friendly and made me feel at ease throughout the procedure.

I am a Diagnostic Radiographer with many years experience of working, and imaging patients, in all areas of the Radiology department. I am also responsible for the governance in Radiology and so make sure that we are compliant with the many ionising radiation regulations that dictate what we can and can't do in radiology, keep the patients and staff safe and ensure we are practicing safely. I also deal with our policies and procedures and oversee compliments, complaints and quality.
