"The birth of our baby girl"

Having had two spontaneous labour experiences with our sons I had never expected to still be very much pregnant at 41+2 weeks. After two unsuccessful sweeps I had finally accepted that an induction would probably be the best option for me and baby.

Upon arriving at the delivery suite at 9pm, I was extremely nervous as a medical induction was something I had been extremely apprehensive about.

However, my midwife Cliodhna completely turned the experience into the most beautiful of my three deliveries.

After breaking my waters, my body took over by itself and I gave birth to our baby 3 hours later at just after 1am. 

I felt very well looked after by Cliodhna who advocated for me to be able to have the delivery I had dreamed of for our third and final baby.
