About: New Victoria Hospital / Maternity Care (outpatients)

(as the patient),

I am getting in touch to highly commend a member of staff at GG&C  

Jayne is a community midwife who works in New Victoria Hospital as well as Eastwood Health Centre. From the moment I met her (at my 38 week appointment but I wish I met her earlier!) she was just so friendly, personable and kind. She went out of her way to fit me in, support me and keep an eye on me from when we met all the way through to postpartum care.

She included my 3 year old in her visits and even my daughter would get excited for Jayne visiting.

Jayne regularly helped me, made sure I had all the medication I needed and constantly made me feel advised, encouraged and completely supported.

She made a huge difference to my life as a new mum of 2 who had an VBAC and I really would have been lost without her. I was sad to be signed off by her but understand I can’t keep her forever.

She should be highly commended by her managers/boss because she truly deserves it.

May I first congratulate you on the birth of your baby. It was heart warming to read your kind words about your midwife Jayne and the care your received from her in pregnancy and after returning home with your baby and the impact she had on your family during this time.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback as It is important to hear about the care received by our midwives and lovely to read how Jayne made you feel and that you felt so supported following the birth of your baby. I will pass on your feedback to her and I am sure she will be delighted.
