"The care was exceptional and brilliant"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Stroke/Care of the Elderly

(as the patient),

In November 23, I had a minor stroke - I am in my 50s. I was admitted to the Monklands Hospital, where the care was exceptional and brilliant, and I got out a week later.

Aftercare from stroke nurse Elaine was brilliant and I was given loads of encouragement to get back to fitness.

Now after six months doing well and gonna start walking in the country more regularly and have a go at swimming  again.

Advice is keep trying to find meds that suit you and constantly consult professionals. The support is there, just ask for it.
