"A Shout of Praise for the Breast Clinic"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Breast care service Queen Margaret Hospital / Radiology

(as a service user),

A routine examination of my shoulder revealed anomalies in the breast region which resulted in an urgent appointment at the Breast Clinic where I was attended by Dr Narayan.

Dr Narayan was extremely professional, thorough and had a really good bedside manner. He communicated well and I felt reassured and grateful to be in the hands of someone so kind and polite who took the time to patiently talk me through  what I was experiencing and what would be done.

I cannot emphasise enough how much it meant to  have my mammogram and scan on the same day, immediately after seeing Dr Narayan, and to be told there and then that all was well.

The radiology staff that conducted my mammogram and scan too were excellent. A really good example of clinical and diagnostic services working together as one team to deliver patient centred care.

Kudos to the Breast Service for a job well done and a special thanks to Dr Narayan....an asset to NHS Fife.
