"The service I have had so far has been really fantastic"

About: Cancer Services / Radiotherapy

(as the patient),

The service I have had so far has been really fantastic. Staff are brilliant - reception staff in particular are great - they know your name straight away as soon as you walk in. I have no complaints at all

I have had bowel cancer before, got rid of that and then I was in hospital with sepsis - came through that and then they discovered lung cancer about 3 months ago.

Since that diagnosis my treatment has happened fairly quickly; from day one of diagnosis there have been no delays and treatment has gone well.

Fortunately transport has been arranged for me as there are no buses running from Perth to Ninewells at the present time.

Dear Otto1, thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience in our Radiotherapy Department. My name is Bob, one of the Support Workers who welcomed you to our department at Reception. It is really good to hear that you were made to feel comfortable as that is exactly the environment that we wish to create for our patients, Thank you, I will pass on your kind words.

It seems like you’ve been through the mill over the past few years but I am glad that the whole process has been efficient and that you are coping well with the treatments. It is also good that The Ambulance Service are bringing you from Perth as that is one thing less you have to concern yourself with, so that you can concentrate on your own health instead.

On behalf of everyone here, I hope you benefit from your treatments and wish you well for the future.

Kind regards... Bob
