About: New Stobhill Hospital / Day Surgery New Stobhill Hospital / Pre-Operative Assessment clinic

I was recently admitted to the Day Care Surgery Ward at the New Stobhill Hospital for surgery.

I would just like to mention that the nurse who looked after me at my pre-op assessment 10 days prior to my surgery had me well prepared as to what to expect on the day, plenty of information had been provided to me. I had no questions. They were thorough and kind. 

My experience is an easy rating of  10 out of 10. All of the nursing staff were lovely, caring and kind. Nothing was a bother and they on more than one occasion told me that I was in good hands and they were taking the best of care of me.

I am so grateful to them for making me feel valued and relaxed. Mrs Maclean was my surgeon, and she was lovely, making sure I understood the procedure I was having and did I have any questions. What I could expect for the few days following  my surgery and looking after myself. Could confirm to me at the time when my follow up appointment with her along with my results would be.

The Anaesthetist and his team prepping me for my surgery were so good too; again taking the time to explain what to expect as they prepped me for the General Anaesthetic. 

As you can clearly see, I am a very grateful and happy patient. The care I had really was excellent.

I am pleased that you were well prepared for your surgery and that your pre-operative assessment went so well. It is very clear from your comments how grateful you are and it’s great that you would give your experience 10/10. Our staff work incredibly hard to ensure their patients have a positive experience and it is such a morale boost when patients recognise this. I’d like to than you on their behalf and will ensure your comments are shared with them.
