"Frustrated and disappointed in this service"

I visited the Whitegate Walk In centre after speaking to the NHS111 service with regard to my extremely painfull ankle after damaging my ankle some days previously. The 111 service also sent the details in advance of my visit. I was seen quickly seen and equally quickly was refused an x-ray on the basis our Dr should have referred me for an x-ray. I left with painkillers and a 10sec examination of my foot after which the nurse declared it was Arthritis and no advice whatsoever in how to deal with my ankle. I did mention to the nurse that I had been advised by NHS 111 to attend here for treatment her response was "they (NHS111) dosen't know how it works either"I visited my Dr on my way home and they had already received the report from the walk in centre saying "it wasn't urgent" when you have difficulty walking when does it become urgent? My visit to the Whitegate Walk In centre was both frustrating and disappointing
