About: Mater Hospital / Elective Overnight stay centre (EOSC)

(as the patient),

From the moment I arrived at The Mater EOSC today I felt completely at ease about my gallbladder removal operation.

As soon as the doors opened I was attended to professionally and kindly by all the staff. The ward nurses, the theatre staff, the anaesthetist, the surgeons - they just couldn’t do enough to help me feel less anxious.

With huge thanks to the nurses and especially those whose names I remember - Shiny, Emma, Ashleigh, Mary - thank you so much! You guys rock!

Thank you for leaving your story on your recent experience in the Elective Overnight Stay Centre when you were in to have your gallbladder operation, it is really encouraging to hear that everyone put you at ease throughout your stay.

I will pass on your comments to Shiny, Emma, Ashleigh and Mary and all the theatre and anaesthetic staff and let them know that they helped to reduce any anxiety you had about the surgery.
