I tried my own Drs surgery to see if I could get an appointment and I was on the phone from 8.30-9.10 and then I was told all the appointments had been taken and to call back tomorrow. So then I insisted I needed to see a Dr and they told me about the Urgent Care Centre in Daisy Hill and gave me a telephone number.
I phoned them and got an appointment for 11am. And I met with a Dr Rogers and a care assistant called Joanne and they couldn’t have been more helpful or nice.
I had a severe lung infection and I was prescribed antibiotics and steroids. It had been a while since I have had blood taken, so I had my bloods my checked and the Dr told me said that she would contact me later in the day with the results of the blood.
Dr Rogers also read my notes thoroughly and saw where I had lost a lot of weight and asked if I had purposefully lost weight. I said no, and she said that she would make contact with a weight loss clinic.
I came away feeling an awful lot better that I had been listened to and that I had some medication and hope that this will improve it. I just thought they definitely needed a word of praise.
