"Great treatment of fracture"

My elderly mum fractured her ankle 3 weeks ago. We have been back to the fracture clinic every Friday since and the staff have been great. Although we have seen different consultants and doctors each time, everything has been efficiently done and the staff have been very informative and kind. Her plaster was put on perfectly- she has been comfortable and the bones are healing well. The only improvement I would suggest is consistency of information- the pharmacist in A and E gave contradictory advice to all of the doctors in the fracture clinic- he said she definitely didn’t need blood- thinning drugs because of her risk ‘score’ whereas she has now been told ( by every single doctor in the fracture clinic since) it could be a risk to life not to take them. So she is now taking these. Overall, a very positive experience of the fracture clinic staff.
