"Caring and excellent service"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

I came for a colonoscopy this afternoon and whilst initially feeling nervous, I can’t praise the team enough for their reassurance and professional manner.

The nurse who initially prepared me for the procedure answered any questions I had. I appreciated having my own private area/room while I waited to go in.

The team who carried out the procedure were really caring and friendly; I felt I was in god hands.

Because I had sedation, I had to wait in recovery until I was ready to go home. Again, the staff were extremely friendly whilst they got some food and drinks.

I expected to have to wait a long time however it was all over in under an hour.

Thank you to the team for making quite an embarrassing and invasive procedure, dare I say… an almost pleasurable experience.
