"Expert surgical care"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Endometriosis Service

(as a service user),

As part of my care with the Endometriosis team, I underwent a complex surgery to treat deep infiltrating, stage 4 endometriosis. My aspirations were to reduce pain and improve fertility following miscarriage.

While I still experience challenges related to living with endometriosis, there is no doubt that the expert surgical care received was what led to the natural pregnancy and live birth of my son and reduction in severe menstrual cramping. The support from the advanced specialist nurse and referrals to other disciplines are central to my ongoing care.

My criticism is the waiting times for pelvic physio and psychological support via CBT.

Dear Endo patient

Thank you for your feedback following surgery and congratulations on the birth of your son.

If you contact me on the e-mail below I can look in to this for you regarding pelvic physio and psychological support. I am aware that the waiting times are long and I have regular meetings with the endometriosis team too discuss feedback such as yours.
