"Very well looked after by all the staff"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (Ward 62) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Stroke care (Wards 56 and 68)

(as a parent/guardian),

My mum was admitted to ward 62 and was very well looked after by all the staff, especially by Lauren…she really listened to the family's concerns and answered all our questions in a friendly, knowledgeable way.

The ward has a lovely atmosphere.

Also my mum spent a short time on ward 56 where charge nurse Sharon was responsible for her care and discharge, again Sharon was very patient and listened to our concerns, took them on board and acted very quickly to enable us to get mum discharged in a prompt manner. She went above and beyond to get mum's care in place.

There are many negative reports made about our NHS, but I’d like to reiterate we had an amazing experience when my mum had her stroke, we couldn’t fault the care she received from start to finish.

Thank you everyone.
