(as a service user),

I started The Base in Cookstown at the beginning of this year. I was always at home on my own as my partner was at work, until I was told about the Base! 

I was in contact with Elaine, my Day Opportunities Co-ordinator, and went to see the Base, where I met Grace, the Base Co-ordinator, who told me all about it.

I started one day a week and have now started a second day. I have met new friends and we do things like art, bowling and lots of other things too.

Everyone is very friendly. I really love and enjoy going to the Base.

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive comments about The Base facility in Cookstown where you have found everyone to be very friendly. This is a partnership we have with Mid Ulster Volunteer Centre so I'm pleased your Day Opportunities Coordinator Elaine and Grace at Cookstown Base have been good supports for you. Great to hear you have made new friends and are enjoying recreational activities in your own community, that's what these Base facilities are all about. Long may you continue to enjoy going there.
