"Excellent Treatment from Helpful and Friendly…"

I cannot speak too highly of the treatment and help that I received from the friendly staff at SpaMedica, Truro, when I had the cataract removed from my left eye, yesterday. I was immediately welcomed on arrival and offered a hot drink and biscuits in the comfortable waiting area. In a short while, I was taken through to the pre-op room, where my details were checked, before drops and a tablet were put under my lower eyelid. I was then shown to another room, with individual stalls, each with a very comfortable seat, to allow time for my pupil to dilate sufficiently for the operation. A further supply of biscuits was available here. After the surgeon had checked my eye, he led me to the operating theatre. Here I was introduced to his four nurse assistants, before the operation was performed. This was a surprisingly quick and painless experience. I was then taken to the discharge room, where I was given advice about my on-going care. On being taken back to the waiting area,I was given another hot drink, whilst my daughter was phoned and told that I was ready to return home.

When the time comes for a similar operation on my right eye, I would have no hesitation in asking for it to be carried out here.
