About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Dermatology

(as a service user),

I attended the clinic for an appointment regarding a small growth on my leg.

On arrival the receptionist dealt with me in an efficient but friendly manner.  I then had an appointment with Dr Hale.  He was very thorough and clear on his discovery and suggested a biopsy. He felt that rather than delay the biopsy it would be better to have it done there and then.

I then went to the waiting room for a short time before being taken into a room for the biopsy to happen. The nurse and doctor who performed this procedure went beyond the service expected and reassured me throughout. As well as telling me what they were doing they also engaged in conversation with me to take my mind of the procedure.

I know people are very quick to criticise the NHS but I cannot rate them highly enough.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on our Dermatology service at the RAH. I am pleased that you found that you were treated efficiently and that you felt that the staff went above and beyond your expectations. I am glad to see that they managed to carry out the procedure on the same day which will save you having to attend again to have this carried out. I hope that your wound heals well. I will pass on your feedback to all the staff involved
