"Attentive and reassuring"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Day surgery

(as a service user),

I had key hole knee surgery at New Victoria Hospital Glasgow. The nursing staff were very attentive and reassuring throughout my procedure. Before the procedure the consultant and anaesthetist explained exactly what  would be happening in a very friendly and professional manner and made sure that I understood what they would be doing. The whole experience has made me appreciate how lucky we are to have the quality of NHS professionals caring for us in Scotland.

Dear Daral

Thank you for leaving our unit a Care Opinion feedback post. Feedback from patients is always warmly received by staff. The words you have used to describe the staff as friendly and professional are characteristics that we aim to emanate every day here in the Day surgery Unit, so I am delighted to read that you experienced this as a patient while in our care and that you were able to have a comfortable patient journey.

I will ensure that your words of appreciation are shared with all of the Day Surgery team. Feedback from our patients certainly keeps the team striving to deliver best care they can every day, thank you.

Wishing you well in your recovery.
