About: Park Lane Practice

My daughter which is 15 months old developed a cough and fever so we called to book an appointment. We were given an appointment with the pharmacist on the same day, upon arrival pharmacist gone through few questions and listened to her chest while two of his colleagues were watching. Asked if it was ok for them to listen too which I suggested that we wanted to get the diagnosis done. After brief discussion with the pharmacist which he suggested that we try losanges to clear up the congestion, I have contacted the surgery again as I felt that we needed a second opinion given the fact that my daughter is very young. Receptionist said the earliest appointment available was second of may and they trusted the judgment of the pharmacist. I suggested that we try for a same day appointment tomorrow and she said that we could but there were no guarantees. She concluded that if symptoms got worse, we could take her to a&e.

All we wanted was to get her to seen by doctor to make sure that she didn’t have anything serious as early intervention can mitigate serious complications. I felt that we were pushed off to sidelines as we didn’t scream or demanded to be seen immediately.
