"Awful Patient Care "

I am a nurse myself in an acute setting, trust me I know the pressures of primary care but my experience was nothing but appalling. I had an infected insect bite on my calf. It was clear as day; red, hot, swollen and discoloured. The woman I saw completely dismissed me, told me it’s not tracking but clearly has spread past the two rings I had already drawn. Our encounter lasted no more than 3 minutes, she didn’t even ask my past medical history until I left.

Will not be returning as I feel the care is not even close to adequate or meets the ‘standard’ NMC code of practice.
