During a telephone consultation with the nurse on Tuesday 9 April at around 12:12 I was asked to come to the surgery to collect stool sample containers and a blood test appointment letter. I asked if the surgery was closed for lunch and what time it shut later in the day, and I was advised that the surgery would be open all day. I walked down arriving at just after 1pm to find that the surgery had shut for training at 1pm. Although someone answered the intercom I was told that I could not be seen. This I found very dissapointing as I'd been told to come down less than an hour before. I then went to the surgery the next morning and was told that the nurse was not from the practice, however I still find it very poor service that I wasn't called back to advise of the practice closure as soon as the nurse learned this. Finally the opening times on the NHS website do not show any 1pm closures for the practice. - please update.
