"Inclusion team here are so supportive and knowledgeable"

About: HMP Wakefield / Substance Misuse Service

(as a service user),

I arrived in prison Dec 2010 and I had a bad problem with coke & alcohol, various prisons thought they had good programmes to assist prisoners help with addiction. No they never in my opinion.

I arrived in this Prison Wakefield in 2017 and the Inclusion team here are so supportive and knowledgeable. I received a lot of one to one support and group sessions and now I have progressed that far I now work with the Inclusion team as a recovery champion.

I assist and support prisoners who are coming to terms with their own addictions and I feel proud of myself for turning all my negative issues from my past into positive actions to help others on there journey to overcoming addiction
