"Treatment rooms coatbridge health centre"

About: Coatbridge Locality Support Service / Treatment Room

(as the patient),

I attended coatbridge treatment rooms in march for a blood appointment, when there i asked the receptionist to check my appointment for my depo provera  injection which is due every 12 weeks. She advised me that no appointment had been scheduled and taken my file out and checked and counted 12 weeks from date of last injection giving me an appointment today.  I arrived for my 9am appointment to have my depo provera injection to be told this had lapsed and was not able to give me my injection due to being 14 weeks after my last one. I explained that the receptionist had checked and provided me this appointment and was advised that it was not down to them to check dates, they don't know what injection I am coming for, baring in mind the receptionist was aware and did check my file.

The nurse advised me to go to my GP and have a pregnancy test carried out to then book another appointment, I advised this was a disgrace and I always have problems when requiring my injection every 3 months. She advised that I have a registration to think about.

I too work in Health and Social care and Iam fully aware of the registration however patients do not need to have this thrown at them when attending scheduled appointments following someone else's failings! Yet another waste of time and journey to visit the treatment rooms to have my 12 week injection! Had the exact same issue in December 2023!
