My mother is in her eighties, has advanced dementia and recently fell and had a half hip replacement. She has not responded well since this operation and was found unresponsive recently in her care home. My mother was transferred from the care home to firstly Monklands A&E and then on to MAU ward at Monklands.
She has received the most attentive care, the nurses have all been exceptionally caring and sympathetic to the needs of my wonderful mum and our family, I can’t thank them enough. My mum may not survive this but at least I know she is receiving the best care possible from nurses who are so friendly.
The NHS seems stretched to breaking point I feel, yet the staff carry out their duties to the best of their abilities.
NHS staff always impress me with their compassion and skill set.
