"He’s never felt alone"

About: Gartnavel General Hospital / Elderly Medicine (wards 2a, 2b, 2c, 3a, 3c, 4c, 5c, 6a, 8a & 8c)

(as a relative),

My Dad has been in ward 6A for the past 5 weeks and the care he has received has been excellent.

He had been through major surgery and is overwhelmed by the kindness and support from Senior Charge Nurse Terry, Aimee, Agnes and all of the wider support team.

He had been regularly checked on and he has kept his dignity and his voice. He likes the engagement and interaction with all the staff members, including the physio & psychiatry team.

The ward is extremely well organised and is clean - he’s never felt alone. Everyone has been extremely patient with him and the care has been fantastic!

Thank you for looking after my precious Dad!

I was pleased to read the care and treatment your dad received from our staff was to a high standard and he felt well cared for.

I was glad to hear he felt included in discussions about his care and was treated with dignity and respect throughout his stay.

I will be happy to pass on your thanks to the team who I'm sure will be touched to hear he had such a positive experience while under their care.
