"The amazing healthcare team"

About: Older People Community Services / Community Stroke Team

(as a relative),

My grandmother had a stroke for the second time as well as a pulmonary embolism both at the same time. The doctors told us to prepare ourselves which was very sad to hear and very unexpected. However with the amazing health care team my grandmother got better and got discharged  a couple of months after being in the hospital.

The amazing physio and occupational therapy team help my grandmother to get her mobility back and she is now able to walk short distances.

Thanks a lot to both Helen and Katie.

Dear orangewp58,

Thank you for taking the time to post your story and give us your positive feedback.

I am sorry to hear that your grandmother suffered a stroke, I am sure it was a frightening time for you all. It is great to know that since her discharge from hospital she has been recovering and making improvements with the help of the physio and occupational therapist from the Community Stroke Team.

I will pass your thanks onto Helen and Katie, they will be delighted to hear this.

I hope that your grandmother remains well and continues to get stronger.

Best wishes,

Angela
