"Shocked with the department and some staff members"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

Was very much the same as other experiences. Rude and unhelpful not even acknowledged just pointed to a waiting chair..and waited!nurse would not even look when you asked her a question ,45mins late for 1st appointment of the day..consultant was repeating his views over and over and not listening to anything I had to say or ask.he was loud and seemed angry.and overly defensive i left politely as there was no point being there from start of my treatment months ago he had no interest in listening to my symptoms

and to be honest on leaving hospital after my knee op I was given a sheet of exercises for an elbow!

I returned to my gp for help concerning an ongoing knee issue which has not improved since the surgery infact it's worse but would never return to that surgeon again, and to top it off my discharge letter to gp is untrue he keeps referring to my repeated mri...I have Only ever had one knee mri..so please people check your health records online I will check mine regularly now as not just the service is bad the reports to Gps are incorrect too and make you look like your being investigated and treated more than you actually are,my gp and nurse and physios are absolutely brilliant and always talk and find out what symptoms and concerns you have and talk to you about how to go forward

, which when your in pain and worried reassures you

I am very sorry to read of your experience and that you were not listened to or treated with kindness or respect. To then have inaccurate information given in a report to your GP understandably added to your frustration.

I will share your feedback with the service, but if you would like this to be investigated and to receive a more detailed response, please email - ekuft.patientvoice@nhs.net and we will ask the service to contact you.

Best wishes
